Residents who are no longer in a flood zone can opt out of flood insurance

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has recently updated the flood maps pertaining to Broward County and the new studies have indicated that most of the areas in City of Coral Springs are to be less affected by flood hazards then before. If you believe your home is no longer in a flood zone and you'd like to opt out of flood insurance, some insurance and mortgage providers are requesting a Flood Zone Determination Letter. To request this letter, go to CoralSprings.org/FloodInformation and click on Flood Information Request Form. Once you submit your completed form electronically, you will receive a digital copy of the letter via email
