Coral Springs Drive Bridges Over West Outfall CanalThe Highway and Bridge Maintenance Division (HBMD) will be performing maintenance and improvements to the bridges over the West Outfall Canal on Coral Springs Drive immediately south of Ramblewood Drive in the City of Coral Springs. Barring any unforeseen conditions or weather delays, the project will start January 10, 2017 and will be completed by April 24, 2017.

DESCRIPTION: The purpose of this project is to install a new concrete barrier wall, asphalt paving of the bridge, installation of bridge joints, guardrail upgrades and installation of aluminum handrails on the bridge improving overall pedestrian access to the bridge. Construction activities include concrete demolition, concrete barrier wall installation, sidewalk repairs, guardrail upgrades & paving all traffic lanes, re-striping and associated maintenance of traffic (MOT).

PROJECT LIMITS: Bridges over West Outfall Canal on Coral Springs Drive just south of Ramblewood Drive (adjacent to Cypress Park) in the City of Coral Springs.

  • Northbound and Southbound Coral Springs Drive drivers can anticipate lane closures as required to complete the work from 9 am to 4 pm.
  • Two lanes will remain open at all times.
  • Northbound or Southbound sidewalk shall be available to pedestrians at all times. Pedestrian shall follow posted detours.
