Applications are taken on a continuous basis, however funds are awarded on a first come, first certified, first served basis.
To apply, call 954-344-1154. Your referral can be processed over the phone. If you are income eligible, the application package will be mailed to you. Please be patient as it may take 2-3 weeks for the application package to reach you.
In addition to the application package, you will need to provide copies of:
- Proof of Citizenship or Legal Alien Status Documents:
- Naturalization Papers or Alien Registration Cards
- Driver’s Licenses are not acceptable
- Additional: copies of Social Security Cards for all household members must be submitted
- Copy of Warranty Deed
- Copy of most recent Property Tax Bill (Proof of most recent payment)
- One (1) month accumulation of most recent pay stubs / Pension or Social Security
- Two (2) most recent tax returns
- Two (2) most recent W-2’s
- Three (3) most recent bank statements
Please note that the market value of your home cannot exceed $331,579.
Employment and income will be verified and applicants must attend a Home Buyers Workshop or a "Tips" Workshop for existing homeowners.
Grant funds are provided with no payment schedules as a 5-year loan. Twenty-percent of the grant is forgiven per year, so that at the end of five years, the loan has a zero balance and is 100% forgiven.
