The volunteer Code Ranger program was established in 2009 at the suggestion of the City Commission. The Rangers assist the Code Compliance Officers with their duties and responsibilities. They act as another pair of eyes for the Code Compliance Division. Their mission is to take on a more proactive approach to enforce city ordinances and code concerns which impact the community.
The goal of the program is to:
- Encourage residents and owners to maintain their property to preserve property values and discourage crime;
- Allow Code Officers the opportunity to devote more time to chronic, dangerous or complicated issues affecting the neighborhood;
- Create a greater sense of community in neighborhoods by encouraging cooperation and increasing neighborhood pride;
- Make Coral Springs a cleaner, safer and more attractive place for all residents.
