The Coral Springs CRA plans and implements redevelopment and economic development activities within its district, as outlined in the adopted Community Redevelopment Plan. 

Redevelopment strategy: 

  • Enhance connectivity
  • Create great public spaces for the public benefit
  • Maximize development potential with a mix of uses that activate the Downtown core based on market analysis
  • Emphasizing cultural and educational opportunities

 While the CRA is relativity small at 136 acres, it can be sub divided into five smaller areas.

  • Redevelop Financial Plaza
  • Municipal complex
  • Retail strategy and centralized management
  • Trolley
  • Parking strategy
  • Property acquisition for new streets

  • Redevelop Educational Core as P3
  • Relocate Charter School
  • Land lease
  • Residential, retail and office
  • Extend Art Walk
  • Higher ed

CITY HALL REDEVELOPMENT HIGHLIGHTS

  • Demo City Hall
  • Sell or lease land
  • P3 for residential town homes

NE NEIGHBORHOOD DISTRICT HIGHLIGHTS

  • Redevelop vacant parcels
  • Incentivize redevelopment
  • Mix of residential
  • Grocery
  • Multi-level structure with ground floor retail

PHASE TWO

VILLAGE SQUARE HIGHLIGHTS

  • Redevelop Village Square
  • Provide adequate transitions to single family
  • Incentivize mixed-use development

WEST SAMPLE ROAD HIGHLIGHTS

  • Widen sidewalks and reconfigure parking
  • Broward Complete Streets model
