Police Department

The Coral Springs Police Department is applying for funding from the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Formula Program. It is mandated under the application that the purpose of funding be available to the public, and that, to the extent of applicable law or established procedure, an opportunity to comment is provided to citizens and neighborhood or community organizations. This notice (click here) is to show compliance with that requirement.

Message from the Police Chief

On behalf of the fine women and men of the Coral Springs Police Department, I would like to thank you for visiting our website.

The Coral Springs Police Department has a diverse workforce with an authorized strength of 202 police officers and 100 civilian members, serving approximately 127,000 residents. We are nationally accredited through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies as well as at the state level through the Florida Commission for Law Enforcement Accreditation . Every member is dedicated to providing the highest level of professional service to our citizens, businesses and the visitors we serve.

This level of service has allowed Coral Springs to enjoy one of the lowest crime rates in Florida for cities with a population of over 100,000 residents. By incorporating a number of problem solving initiatives to include substations through out the community, a wide variety of juvenile programs and a safe driving campaign, our staff is committed to ensuring that the City of Coral Springs is the premier city in which to live, work and raise a family.

I hope that you will take advantage of the many opportunities to be involved in our community and Department. As you browse our website, you'll learn that there are many ways that you can become a partner with us. If I, or any of our staff can be of service, please do not hesitate to email me at Dfoster@coralsprings.org

Sincerely,

Duncan Foster
Chief of Police
